Terms and conditions of use

The following general terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as ‘general conditions’), discipline the use of this internet site (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Site’) of Meridionali Legumi Srl (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Company’). By using the Site, the user gives his/her consent to the General Conditions; therefore, if the user does not accept in full or in part the General Conditions, the company invites not to use the Site and avoid downloading any material therefrom. Furthermore, for the use of some of the Site’s services (hereinafter referred to as ‘services’) the registration of the user may be necessary in accordance with the instructions and guidance provided in the Site.

Handling of personal user’s data will comply with the Privacy Policy published in the Site, which the user is invited to consult.

Limit of use

The content of the Site is under the copyright of the Company. All rights are reserved. The content of the pages of the Site cannot be – neither in full nor in part – copied, reproduced, transferred, downloaded, published or distributed in any form or kind without the prior consent of the Company, with the exception of storing them in one’s own computer, or printing extracts of the pages of the Site for personal use only. The trademark, logo and the material published in the Site are ownership of the Company. They cannot be used by any other internet site other than the Site without prior, written approval of the Company. The company’s name, and any other trademark including the trademark of Meridionali Legumi Srl cannot be used as internet addresses of other sites, or as part of such addresses, without prior consent of the Company.

Warranty exclusion and limitation of liability

The Company reserves the right to modify and/or integrate at any time the General Conditions. Additionally, the Company may modify, move or cancel parts of, or add parts to, the Site. The material included in the Site is provided ‘as is’ and without any guarantee, be it expressed or implicit. The Company does not guarantee or release and declarations as regards the use of, or the result of the use of, the content of the Site in terms of correctness, accuracy, reliability or else. Law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by the Italian law. The Court of Naples, Italy, shall have exclusive jurisdiction and competence for any controversies related to these conditions. Nonetheless, the Company reserves the right, as deemed necessary, to take legal action at tribunals of other countries or cities other than Italy or Naples, in order to protect its interests and have its rights enforced.  

Privacy policy

Meridionali legumi Srl, based in AREA P.I.P. Località Sepano – 80027 Frattamaggiore (NA) as owner of the processing of personal data in accordance with the relevant Italian legislation for what concerns the processing of personal data (the National Legislation) and the EU Directive 679/2016 – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (hereinafter both the National Legislation and the GDPR shall be referred to as ‘Applicable Legislation’), recognizes the importance of data protection and considers their protection as one of the main goal of its activity.

Before communicating any personal data, Meridionali Legumi Srl invites to carefully read this privacy policy (Privacy Policy) as it contains important information on the protection of personal data and on the security measures adopted to guarantee their confidentiality in compliance with the Applicable Legislation. Furthermore, this Privacy Policy:

  • is valid for the site only (the Site), whereas it is not applicable to other website consulted through external links; it is to be intended as information provided pursuant to art. 13 of the Applicable Legislation to those interacting with the Site.

Meridionali Legumi Srl informs you that handing of your personal data shall be based on the principles of legality, correctness, transparency, limitation of purpose and storage, minimization of data, exactness, integrity and confidentiality. Your personal data shall be therefore dealt with in accordance with the legal provisions of the Applicable Legislation and the relevant confidentiality obligations mandated therein.

Privacy ownership and privacy supervisor

In the light of the Applicable Legislation, owner of data processing of the Site is Meridionali Legumi Srl as explained above. In turn, Meridionali Legumi Srl has appointed a privacy supervisor who can be contacted at for any information related to the processing of personal data by Meridionali Legumi Srl, to include the list of the managers who deal with data.

Personal data being processed

With ‘personal data’ it is intended any information regarding an individual identified or identifiable with reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, data related to the location, an on-line identifier or one or more features of its physical, physiological, psychic, economic, cultural or social identity.

Through the Site you may voluntarily provide personal data such as your name, surname, telephone number and e-mail address in order to enroll in the newsletter service or to contact Meridionali Legumi Srl through the form at the page ‘Contact us’. You can cancel your registration at any time by clicking on the cancellation link present in any newsletter. Meridionali Legumi Srl shall process these data in accordance with the Applicable Legislation, for the purpose related with the requested service, assuming that they refer to you or to third parties that have expressly authorized you to provide them on the basis of a suitable juridical basis that legitimizes the processing of the data in question. With respect to such hypotheses, you are considered as an autonomous owner of data processing, taking on all legal obligations and responsibilities. Accordingly, you shall hold the Company harmless from any dispute, claim, refund request for damage from data processing, which might be received by Meridionali Legumi Srl from third parties whose data have been processed through your use of the Site in violation of the Applicable Legislation.

Compulsory or optional purpose and nature of the processing

The personal data you provide through the Site shall be dealt with by us in order to complete your requests of information related to the services proposed by the Site, and for any communication activities needed to respond to contacts requests.

The registration to the Newsletter and the filling out of the form at the page ‘Contact us’ imply that we acquire your e-mail address and other data which are necessary to respond to your queries and/or provide the service your request. The user is free to provide his/her personal data indicated in the request forms of the various services provided by the Site. Any shortfall in the provision of the mandatory data has as unique effect the impossibility to send and/or receive response to the contact request.


The data we collect are not ‘spread out’, meaning that they are not provided to undetermined subjects in any way or form, not even by making them available for consultation. We may instead ‘communicate’ your personal data, meaning that they may be made available to third parties in accordance with the following terms:

  2. Persons authorized by Meridionali Legumi Srl to process personal data, who have agreed to their confidentiality or have an adequate legal obligation to confidentiality, and who concur to the completion of your request.

Your data are not transferred to any recipients who are based outside of the EU. It is however established that the Owner, whenever deemed necessary, shall have the right to transfer personal data to recipients who are based within the territory of the EU. In such a case, the Owner commits to transfer such data in accordance with the applicable legislation, and only after stipulation of the standard contractual clauses provided for by the European Commission.

Data retention

Your data will be retained for the time needed to complete your request and for our quality control in case you have claims related to the product. Except for the above, Meridionali Legumi Srl shall process your personal data as long as the Italian Legislation permits, in order to protect its rights (Artt. 2946 e 2947(1)(3) c.c.).

In accordance with art. 32 of the EU Directive 2016/679, our company deploys all technical and organizational measures deemed necessary to grant a level of security adequate to the risk, considering the state of the art and the cost of deploying such measures, to include the nature, subject, context and purpose of the processing, as well as the risks, with various probability and severity, for the rights and freedoms of individuals. Meridionali Legumi Srl ensures that the electronic and paper processing of your personal data is conducted in accordance with the Applicable Legislation. 

Your rights

Within the limits of the Applicable Legislation you have the right to request to Meridionali Legumi Srl at any time, access to your personal data, the modification of cancellation of such data, or to oppose to their processing, the limitation to their processing, or to obtain a structured format of common use and readable from an automated device. In accordance with the Applicable Legislation you have in any case the right to file a complaint to the relevant authority (Guarantor for the Protection of Personal Data) whenever you deem that the processing of your data is contrary to the legislation in force.


This Privacy Policy is in force since 1 October 2020. Meridionali Legumi Srl reserves the right to modify or update its content, in full or in part, also considering the changes to the Applicable Legislation.
